Restoring old radios is my hobby, (my Mrs. would say an obsession) this is not a business and work pressure may mean I take a while to respond to you. Often I have to buy large quantities of components in order to get the one part I need to finish my project. I may never use the rest of the batch as long as I live so I am offering my 'left over' parts to like-minded restorers. I would prefer they were used rather than left sitting in a box gathering dust, and hopefully the proceeds will allow me to acquire more parts- so eventually this site can be a 'one stop shop' for vintage radio and audio enthusiasts needs. The site will be expanded as time allows.

The Vintage components offered for sale are between 20 and 70+ years old. Most components are unused Old Stock, mainly from military establishment clearouts. All are UNTESTED, all are authentic!. Because the parts are well past their shelf life they are offered with no guarantee as to their servicability or reliability. However I will consider individual cases should a part be not as described. Personally, I have encountered a low failure rate. There are also Modern NOS parts available. I would recommend that unless you really want authenticity, you replace capacitors with modern ones, particularly if the equipment is to be used regularly.

It is your responsibility to ensure that the component is suitable for your intended application. You are also responsible for observing any laws or regulations regarding modifying or repairing electrical equipment where you are. Particular attention should be paid to capacitor polarity and working voltages.

I will check things like individual bulbs prior to despatch, and batch test loose components. All items are sold on a no-return basis.

If you are not sure, don't buy it. RS & CPC amongst others do a good range of new components.........

I now have a minimum order value of GBP5, to make it worth the bus fare to the Post Office!
