History of this set
One of the first sets to have a moulded Bakelite cabinet.
This radio was obtained from Ebay not working and with the valves missing and the grille cloth torn. It has been overhauled inside and out and a replacement cloth has been fitted. Very similar to the RC2. The position of the mains switch is the clue, An RC2 has it near the rear of the set. Also, the M23 had significant electrical improvements too such as a moving coil speaker and the choke mounted at right angles to the mains transformer to reduce hum.
It needs a replacement intervalve transformer to finish it off. does anyone have one?
