This set was in a disgusting state inside and out when I got it. This went to a BVWS workshop for me to learn on. Changed all the Hunts capacitors, new UCC85 and it works. Still hums a lot though. Replacement of the main multi electrolytic is required.
The painted bakelite cabinet was chipped and scratched badly. Completely stripped down and re painted with spray paint from the local car maintenance supermarket and it looks respectable. I must get round to painting the Marconi badge red some day.
