Bought at a flea market. Inspection showed some very charred looking resistors and lots of blobs of wax beneath capacitors. All these items were replaced as were the rubber insulated wires which had perished. The Output valve parted company with its top cap when disconnecting the lead. A new one had to be found. New dial bulbs of course, switched on and it was fine. As in most cases the cost of the parts was more than the cost of the radio,
The mahogany veneered cabinet needed stripping and re finishing as the varnish had changed colour over the years giving it an olive green appearance. The black lines are of original design. What were they thinking of?
