LW,MW,VHF. 11 Transistors, 5 diodes
Release date around 1967 Requires 1 PP9 battery Working. |
Unusually, this radio did not work when I got it. Roberts are normally reliable. Once the broken battery lead was fixed, LW and MW came to life but no FM. This was traced to a fault in the FM module - a dry joint!. Horrible to get at. After listening for a while, I decided the sound was a bit "thin". An open circuit electrolytic in the AF stage was found and replaced. Now working splendidly.
The cabinet just needed cleaning with washing up liquid and a polish. A classic radio. Still sought after today. This one now lives in Essex.
